Show Notes

In this episode, I have a conversation with Jared Harding.  Jared shares one of his most courageous moments: Battling grief and depression after his wife had multiple miscarriages.  He discusses not wanting to look weak, not knowing how to communicate, and getting to a point where he realized he had to get help.  He had to allow himself to break.

He realized that he was not living life the way he wanted to, wasn't making the connections he wanted to, was being distant, and what was once natural for him was now difficult.  Fear of telling people about the miscarriages, fear of being found out, of being seen as weak, and as a failure.  He thought people wouldn't understand.  He was trying to be strong and he finally allowed himself to break.

Jared also shares for the first time, his passion and the impact he wants to make in the mental health space.  He stands up because now is the time, it's his time to use his voice - and this is the first step for him to move forward with his mission.  I'm honored that he chose to do that with me, here.  He discusses why mental health and suicide awareness are important to him and he reminds us that the people that are probably hurting the most are the ones that aren't able to say it.

Jared is an Architect in the Tech Industry, working for iShift and hoping that his voice will lead others to ask for help and start discussions that will positively impact the people and community around him.

Enjoy and be courageous.
